Vital and Mee Chiet continue to provide warming gifts to needy elders for 6th Year
To alleviate the hardship of needy elders and people in Phnom Penh, Vital Premium Water and Mee Chiet instant noodles jointly organized the event called “6th Share the Warmth” on the morning of January 19, 2022 at Wat Botumvatey park in Daun Penh district to distribute the gifts such as food, medical supplies and some budgets to around 300 needy elders and people in Phnom Penh.
The charitable event was held in the presence of Lok Chumteav Cheung Sokuntheavy the Executive Director of Vital Premium Water and Mee Chiet instant noodles with the participances of Companies’ management team, local authorities, needy groups, youth volunteers and working groups.
Lok Chumteav Cheung Sokuntheavy, an Executive Director of Vital Premium Water and Mee Chiet instant noodles, said that “This annual charitable event is organized with clear purpose and value of spreading the compassion with the principles of love, tolerance and sincere respects as humanity by distributing foods, budgets and medicines to elders, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who are in need.
“The situation of Covid 19 pandemic is better back to normal, but it is still difficult for some elders and people who live in poverty. Therefore, Vital Premium Water and Mee Chiet instant noodles continue to organize this event with hope to alleviate some difficulties and provide warmth to elders and people who are experiencing the challenges.”
The gifts distributing today includes packs of rice, Vital Premium Water, Mee Chiet instant noodles, canned fishes, T-shirts, scarves, medicines and some budgets. The elders and people who attend the event are mostly engaged in small-scale earning activities for daily living such as driving Cyclo, selling brooms, sharpening knives or carrying scales for weighting tips.
Noticeably, the charitable event known as “Share the Warmth” was initiated and organized by Vital Premium Water since 2016, and it’s been six years so far. On the other hands, It is the third year for Mee Chiet instant noodles to join with Vital Premium Water. Both company are committed to continue the charitable activities in cause for social development widely with the spirit of “Together One Khmer Helps Each Other in Difficulties.”
