Attack Techniques: Push Kick or Chrot Eysei (Pushing Hermit)

When talking about Bokator training or any other martial practicing, we always think that attacking skills are the most important points and for today’s learning on attacking skills, we will look at Leg using techniques.

Leg using techniques are divided into main forms which are “kick” and «push kick» as in the picture, our martial artist wants to show the form of simple and oldest kick which is called “push kick” or it is called “Chrot Eysei (Pushing Hermit)”.

It is not only named very impressively but push kick is also very simple and easy to practice during fighting and it is very effective attacking and most dangerous technique amongst Leg techniques.

How to attack with using the push kick is starting from finding space which is not carefully protected by the opponent before push kick the target. For push kick, we can release the push kick with foot’s heel or the foot as like in the picture (Most artist prefer to use the foot because it is acted quicker and stronger).

The position of the push kick can be done to the lowest side by under the belt of the body, the most hurt by the chest and the highest by the middle of the face.
